What a fantastic day out this is! Hope you like fresh sea air. Tintagel is located on the Cornish coast...a bit of a drive, but worth it. Cornwall and it’s residents are closely genetically linked to the Welsh and the Irish! They are Celts to be sure. With its rugged rocky coastline, fate could not have picked a finer (and that means safer!), more well protected spot to birth England’s greatest warrior King Arthur. On this tour you will visit Tintagel Castle (his birthplace), Merlin’s Cave, and either the incredible waterfall and hermitage site, St. Nectan’s Glen, or ancient Celtic settlement site, Rocky Valley. If you are in good health, and fast(ish) walkers, time will permit both! Grab an authentic Cornish pasty on route to top up your energy.
